The John Rutledge House Inn Keep in mind the question,
"How nice is it, really?" The John Rutledge House Inn has a AAA 4 Diamond rating, so you know you'll be getting something special. Also, having visited all of the four diamond properties in Charleston, I can tell you that The John Rutledge House is on the high side of the scale.
There are only 11 rooms,
so you'll definitely get more personalized
service than you could expect at any hotel.
For just a few bucks more than the average
bed and breakfast, you know you're going to
get luxury and exquisite attention to
detail.
Rooms start at $265 in the
high season (for two), and once again, you're
getting way more value than you would from a
hotel. An extensive gourmet continental
breakfast and wine and cheese are
included.
Parking is an extra $10 if
you have a car, but it's at a very convenient
adjacent lot, so you won't have to pay extra
for valet. Another plus is the Broad Street
location. You're dead in the middle of one of
the finest residential areas in the country,
if not the world, so you're surrounded by
multi-million dollar homes with Charleston
incredibly rich history to go along with
them.
It's a bit quieter down on
Broad Street as well, and you're still only a
ten-minute walk to the City Market.
