Charleston Area Beaches . . . Few spots on the planet offer you the unique and varied alternatives of Charleston. First, you have your choice of literally hundreds of vacation rentals on six different islands, Sullivans, Isle of Palms, Folly Beach, Kiawah, Seabrook, and Edisto. Each beach is unique, but none are as densely populated as you'll find on more commercial beaches. There are only five hotels near the beach in the Charleston Area, so most visitors stay in Vacation Rental Homes.
