Charleston SC Holiday Festival of Lights

Holiday Festival of Lights This festival has run for over 20 years annually at the James Island County Park from November to the end of December through the Christmas and Hanukah season each year. A single point of light can pierce the darkness and give a soul focus and direction. The Holiday Festival of Lights celebrates the season by promoting family unity and fun while honoring many aspects of the Christmas and Hanukah season as well as dipping into some lesser-known pre-Christian traditions that have been transformed by the Church.

Lights plenty will attract couples, families, and groups to the Holiday Festival of Lights to be dazzled by the displays. The lights not only create outlines of trees sparking the feeling of an enchanted forest, but they also feature images kindling memories of traditional Holiday songs such as The Twelve Days of Christmas or Nutcracker magic. Creative patrons are encouraged to position light displays at the Lakeside Lights Activity Center to reflect in the water and double the beauty.
